In this one-year course, digital photography is explored in depth for students who are interested in this career field. Portraiture, studio lighting, tabletop illustration, nature, advertising, macro photography, photo restoration, fashion photography, and digital correction and manipulation in Photoshop are integral to the course. A lab fee, photo supplies, tripod with quick-release plate, a digital SLR camera (18 Megapixels or higher resolution with adjustable apertures/f-stops, shutter speeds and ISO) and a 500gb external hard drive are required.

This program is offered as Honors credit with the expectation that students complete four projects throughout the year that extend beyond the standard curriculum. These projects are built into the program and are a great opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of the topics covered in class.
