The PSAT academy is open to freshmen and sophomores in Chesterfield County Public Schools who want to prepare for the PSAT exam that CCPS administers for free each October. The academy includes two days of math review and two days of reading and writing review.
- Register for Oct. 2-5 PSAT academy (3:40-5:40 p.m. at Clover Hill High). Registration closes at 5 p.m. Sept. 27.
The SAT academy is free and available to juniors and seniors in Chesterfield County Public Schools who want to prepare for college entrance exams. While there is no cost for the academy, students must purchase a current SAT study guide (available from many stores and online sites). SAT academy students must choose one of these three courses: reading; writing and the essay; and math.
- To prepare for the paper-and-pencil version of the SAT, register for Oct. 23-Nov. 2 SAT academy (3:40-5:40 p.m. at Bird High). Registration closes at 5 p.m. Oct. 18.
- To prepare for the digital version of the SAT, register for Feb. 26-March 7 SAT academy (3:40-5:40 p.m. at Clover Hill High). Registration closes at 5 p.m. Feb. 21.
- SAT academies are also offered each summer.
The academy only provides preparation for the SAT. No testing or test registration occurs during the academy. Visit collegeboard.org to find SAT testing dates and register for the SAT.
