Chesterfield County Public Schools is looking for local business owners, community/civic leaders, or faith-based leaders to shadow school principals. Please share this information with friends and family members who are in these roles.
Through the Principal for a Morning program, community leaders shadow a principal or building leader for about three hours as they conduct their daily routine. Participants will experience and learn about the logistics of monitoring school buildings and grounds, bus duty, morning announcements, classroom walk-throughs, lunch duty and assembly programs.
This year’s opportunities will be held Monday, Oct. 10, and Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Many Chesterfield County schools have engaged in Principal for the Morning in previous years, and community leaders and principals always gain valuable knowledge from the experience. The program fosters beneficial partnerships between schools and businesses also allows local leaders to spend time in our schools seeing our innovative classrooms and practices.
