Preparing to Transfer to Matoaca High School
Academic Planning
Your student will be assigned a counselor who will individually plan with the student for their educational goals. Your student’s counselor will be happy to meet with you to discuss specific requirements for the Standard or Advanced Studies Diploma. Chesterfield County offers a wide range of academic programs, including advanced programs, that your student’s counselor can discuss with you. For information on home instruction, please contact the Home School Support Specialist at (804) 639-8628. Transition Programs
Matoaca High School is proud to be home to both a transition program for incoming freshman (SPIRIT Mentors) and for students who transfer during the school year (Earn Your Stripes).
College Support for Seniors
Matoaca High School partners with our local EOC to provide opportunities for military connected students and first generation college students. An EOC representative is available during a student’s senior to assist the student and their family through the college and scholarship search process, as well as college applications, and FAFSA paperwork for financial aid.
Get Involved at Matoaca
We have several parent organizations who support our school including our Parent Teacher Organization, Athletic Booster, Band Boosters, and Choral Boosters. For information on joining the booster organizations, see you student’s teacher or coach.
