Activities
The purpose of this organization shall be to encourage scientific thinking and engagement by advancing students’ knowledge of science, increasing communication between students and the scientific community, and aiding the public with its comprehension of science and the scientific process through student-led public outreach and community service.
Science Month in April, support Science Fair and STEM competitions, Peer Tutoring, and Science related volunteer efforts.
5 service hours/semester, 3 must be science related. One hour long meeting per month. Opportunities to be in leadership positions.
Apply in the Fall (Juniors and Seniors – September) or Spring (Juniors Only – February). Requirements include 3.0+ overall GPA and 3.7+ weighted Science GPA. Other requirements are listed in the SNHS FAQ file which students will have access to in their application.
