The mission of the Boys soccer program at Salem Middle School is to develop and improve soccer skills, while promoting good sportsmanship and encouraging high standards of performance and conduct on and off the field, requiring discipline, honesty, hard work, commitment, respect and humility.

The program is improving and growing from year to year.

There is no required pre-season training. Stay active and practice on your own or with friends.

For the 2022-23 school year, regular season games will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning September 15th and ending October 20th. Playoffs will begin the week of October 24th.

Tryouts will be Tuesday, 9/1/22 through Thursday, 9/1/22, 2:15 – 4:00 p.m. Please arrange for your transportation to pick you up no later than 4:15 p.m. A sports physical form must be submitted on or before the first day of tryouts. You will find the physical form on the athletic page. The physical must have taken place after May 1st of the school year you are trying out for. Athletes need to have passed five classes in the previous semester per VHSL rules in order to be eligible to play. Workout clothes, shin guards and cleats are required. Please bring a water bottle. Practice will be held rain or shine. Bring appropriate gym shoes for possible indoor training.
