Portrait of Rebecca Thompson

Rebecca Thompson

Principal

Mrs. Thompson is an original Timberwolf! She taught math for 12 years with 8 of those years being at Tomahawk Creek. She grew up in Chesterfield County and graduated from James River High School. She attended James Madison University and fell in love with teaching when she would substitute during her summer breaks. She started her teaching career at Chester Middle school, the oldest school in the county at the time, and decided to make the switch to the newest school in the county when Tomahawk Creek opened. She was urged by many of her leaders in the past to take the leap into administration. Heeding their advice, she received her Master’s Degree in Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Richmond. She and her husband have a son and a daughter together; Tripp, who will be starting 6th grade this fall at Midlothian Middle School and Collins who will be entering into the 2nd grade at Greenfield Elementary. When she isn’t being an administrator or a mom, she is either swimming, running or relaxing.

She feels that kindness and teamwork are key in a successful partnership and is honored to be the third principal of Tomahawk Creek Middle School and feels so lucky to work with such an amazing staff and community.
