I am proud to serve as the Principal at Thelma Crenshaw Elementary School. Before my time at Crenshaw I began teaching as a first grade teacher during the 1996/1997 school year in Petersburg City Public Schools. I worked at various Chesterfield elementary schools where my love for school leadership developed. My last 3 years as a teacher, I was the Title 1 Reading teacher at Elizabeth Scott Elementary School.  I also served as Dean for 2 years before becoming the Assistant Principal at Thelma Crenshaw Elementary School in 2016. 

I am a proud graduate of Longwood University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. In 2008, I obtained a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a certification in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

My husband and I have two amazing children. Both of whom are proud Chesterfield County Public Schools graduates. I enjoy spending time with my family and 3 dogs on our farm.

Eric Mauck is excited to be a part of Crenshaw Elementary School after having worked in Manassas City Public Schools since 2001. Mr. Mauck most recently served as an Assistant Principal at Jennie Dean Elementary School from 2020-2023. Prior to moving to Jennie Dean, Mr. Mauck was the Assistant Principal at Metz Middle School from 2017-2020. Mr. Mauck began his teaching career in 2001 at Haydon Elementary. He then moved to Metz Middle where he initially taught sixth grade English, Social Studies, and Math. Additionally, he taught multiple levels of seventh and eighth grade Math over the next thirteen years. He also served as the Athletic and Activities Director, Child Study Chair, and Math Interventionist within the Metz school community. Mr. Mauck received his Bachelor Degree from Bridgewater College and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership/Administration from Arkansas State University. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his wife and family, attend sporting events, and participate in outdoor activities. As Assistant Principal at Crenshaw Elementary, Mr. Mauck looks forward to working with, building relationships with, and supporting all students, families, and staff in their various educational experiences.
