Overview

The National English Honor Society promotes a love of language, both written and spoken, within our school and surrounding community.

Highlights

NEHS sponsors The Biggest Turkey Competition each year which benefits our MHS Angels program as they purchase food and gifts each December for our families in need. We also promote book drives, activities for Read Across America Week, and other English-related service projects.

Time Commitment

We meet 1-2 times per month after school for about 30-45 minutes. Service projects vary in time commitment, but students should expect to spend 1-2 hours per semester (minimum) completing service items.

How to Sign Up

NEHS is open to 10th-12th grade students only. Invitations will be given to students during 1st quarter if they meet the minimum academic requirements for membership. Those who apply must complete an entrance essay.
