Monacan Project LIT

Name of Club/Activity

Monacan Project LIT

Overview

We are a student-centered, discussion-based book club and community of readers. We support one another to explore the BIG ideas and learn more about our own experiences and the experiences of people who are different from us. Our Monacan Project LIT chapter is part of a larger, national book club that reads the same books with new lists and titles released every school year!

Highlights

We hold “big” meetings on the last Tuesday of every month after school where we discuss the primary book club pick of the month. We hold “lunch bunch” meetings in the library on the second Wednesday of each month to give students opportunities to discuss the novel as they read with their peers during the school day.

Time Commitment

“Big” group meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month from 3:00 p.m. -3:45 p.m.; “Lunch bunch” meetings are held during the three lunches during on the second Wednesday of the month.

How to Sign Up
