Our History

Tomahawk Creek Middle School opened in 2008 welcoming over 1200 students. Lead by Principal Jeff Ellick and a team of excellent staff and teachers, Tomahawk Creek Middle School began its legacy as an award winning middle school in Chesterfield County. Under principal Dr. David Ellena, Tomahawk Creek Middle became a Schools To Watch school. Over the past decade Tomahawk Creek has had a positive impact in our community through our philanthropic efforts to give back such as Toys for Tots, Christmas Mother, Feed 23112, and Tomahawk Gives Back. We have a strong club program which includes Interact, SCA, and Junior National Honor Society. Our sports teams have won several county championships. With ten years and counting, Tomahawk Creek continues to set the academic bar high.

Our Vision

We envision that Tomahawk Creek Middle School will be a thriving, dynamic and inspiring educational environment that produces self-directed learners and stimulates citizens of all ages to trust in, invest in, and benefit from public education.

Our Mission

The mission of Tomahawk Creek Middle School is to work in partnership with students, families and the community to ensure that each student acquires the knowledge, skills and core values necessary to achieve personal success and to enrich the community.
