"Helping Students Bounce Back: Resilience"

Resilience refers to the ability to overcome risk factors that increase the likelihood of academic failure. Today in the United States, a significant number of students experience academic failure due to multiple risk factors. The good news is that educators can help students to become more resilient and overcome a variety of challenges by using a few proven strategies. Today’s session will help participants understand the resilience phenomenon and learn strategies that are proven to help foster resilience in today’s students.

We are honored to welcome Dr. John Hodge—nationally recognized educator, author, and speaker—as the keynote for our Mental Wellness Fair. Dr. Hodge is known for his powerful message of hope, equity, and empowerment in schools and communities. Drawing from his new book, "You Can Get In the Way," as well as decades of experience in education and motivational leadership, Dr. Hodge will offer timely insights on how adults can serve as intentional, positive forces in the lives of young people.

With a focus on resilience, relationships, and the power of belief, his keynote will inspire parents, educators, and community members to “get in the way” of negative influences and champion the mental wellness and success of every child.

Don't miss this compelling opportunity to hear from one of the nation’s most passionate voices for student support and transformation.
