SAT Academy

The SAT academy is free and available to rising sophomores through rising seniors in Chesterfield County Public Schools who wish to prepare for college entrance exams. However, the program is mostly geared toward rising juniors and seniors.

There are three options for SAT preparation:

  • Reading/Writing (in person)
  • Math (in person)
  • Overview of Reading/Writing and Math (in person or virtual)

Students choose one course per week, and each course is four days.

While there is no cost for the program, students must purchase a current SAT study guide to participate.

Taking the SAT

The academy only provides preparation for the SAT. No testing or test registration occurs during the course. For information about SAT test dates, to register for the SAT or for questions on other topics related to SAT testing, visit collegeboard.org.

Chesterfield County Public Schools administers the SAT test once each spring at no cost to juniors enrolled in CCPS. Generally, this testing opportunity occurs in March and schools will communicate details to families. If you have questions, contact your school.
