Test Preparation: SAT/SOL/W!SE Academies

Targeted sessions help students prepare for SOL tests, the SAT and the W!se test.

  • Students who pass a course but fail the corresponding SOL test may attend the SOL Academy free of charge.
  • Juniors and seniors are invited to attend the SAT prep course. The SAT Academy is free but a required study guide must be purchased.
  • The W!se Academy is open to any student who passed the economics and personal finance course but did not pass or attempt the corresponding W!se financial literacy test and who needs a career and technical education credential to graduate.

SAT Academies are open to rising sophomores through rising seniors in Chesterfield County Public Schools who wish to prepare for college entrance exams. However, the program is mostly geared toward rising juniors and seniors.

The SAT Academy is free but this required study guide must be purchased and brought to class: Princeton Review SAT Premium Prep 2023 study guide (ISBN-13 978-0593450581). Students may buy the guide from any vendor they choose.

The academy only provides preparation for the SAT. No testing or test registration occurs during the academy. Visit collegeboard.org to find SAT testing dates and register for the SAT.

Summer SAT Academies

SAT preparation is provided in two courses including SAT Reading and Writing and SAT Math (students choose one course per week and attend prep in that course for four days). Students must attend every day of class. Registration for summer academies will open April 10 and close May 26: summer SAT Academy registration.
