The Creative and Media Services Department of Chesterfield County Public Schools won seven Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards from the National School Public Relations Association. The awards were announced June 17.

“I am so proud of our team, which works nonstop to connect with families, employees and the community,” said Chief Communications and Community Engagement Officer Shawn Smith. “This national recognition shows we are effectively providing information and sharing CCPS stories. Since 1995, NSPRA has regularly honored the work of the Chesterfield County Public Schools communications department, and we plan to continue providing outstanding communications about central Virginia’s largest school system.”

Recognized as the leader in school communication, the National School Public Relations Association has honored the best work in school communication for more than 50 years. The Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding work in print and digital publications, video, audio, websites, social media and more.

The National School Public Relations Association judges award entries against those from organizations of similar type and size. Each entry is judged on its overall excellence as well as its quality compared to other entries.
