BUSINESS MEETING

Awards and Recognitions:

Congratulations to Midlothian High student Cole Caffall for placing in the top 10 during national competition with Future Business Leaders of America. 

Congratulations to the Creative and Media Services Department for being recognized statewide, nationally and internationally. 

Congratulations to the Chester Early Childhood Learning Academy for winning state and national recognition.

The following bus drivers were recognized for their outstanding performance:

Board Actions:

The consent agenda was approved as presented. Memos of interest included:

  • Memo #126-22: Recommended Personnel Actions
  • Memo #127-22: FY2023 – Acceptance of New Grants
  • Memo #128-22: Deed of Gift for Landscape Upgrades to Frontage Area of Moseley Elementary School
  • Memo #129-22: Transfer of Budget from Administration / Attendance and Health to Instruction
  • Memo #137-22: Appointment of Member to School Board Advisory Committee

– The Board approved Memo #134-22 (attached), which recommended that the Board adopt the Imagine Tomorrow strategic plan revisions, subject to annual review and future amendments as the Board deems appropriate.

– The Board approved Memo #135-22 (attached), which recommended that the Board authorize the Procurement Director to issue a purchase order under the current  Requirements Contract (ADMN2000202) with Colonial Webb Contractors, Co. for the replacement of RTU’s and VAVs at James River High School, and approve any necessary change orders not to exceed 10% of the base contract. CCPS anticipates that the Notice to Proceed for this effort will be issued in mid October 2022.

– The Board approved Memo #136-22 (attached), which recommended that the Board authorize the Procurement Director to issue a purchase order under the current  Requirements Contract (ADMN2000202) with Colonial Webb Contractors, Co. for UVGI Implementation at multiple CCPS locations, and approve any necessary change orders not to exceed 10% of the base contract. CCPS anticipates that the Notice to Proceed for this effort will be issued in mid October 2022.
