Midlothian High achieved the W!se Blue Star School Award by reaching an 80% passing rate on the financial literacy certification test and having either a majority of students on a given grade level receive personal finance instruction or at least 10% of school enrollment take the certification test. 

Cosby High was one of just 29 schools nationwide to achieve the W!se Platinum Star School Award, the highest award. It is earned when a school achieves a 90% passing rate on the financial literacy certification test and the average score on the test is 85% or higher with at least half the students on a grade level or a minimum of 10% of school enrollment.

The School Board adopted a Resolution Recognizing February 2023 as Career and Technical Education Month.
