Administrative appointments
These new administrators were introduced:

Board actions
The consent agenda was approved. Memos of interest included:

The board approved Memo #095-24, adopting the fiscal year 2025 financial plan by appropriation category at attachment B; adopting the FY 2025-29 capital improvement plan at attachment C; and adopting a total of $5,350,000 on behalf of Appomattox Regional Governor’s School.

The board approved Memo #096-24, approving the FY 2025 revised financial plan by appropriation category as shown on attachment B; approving a total of $5,561,600 on behalf of Appomattox Regional Governor’s School; approving the FY 2025-29 revised capital improvement plan as shown on attachment C; and approving this resolution indicating the School Board approval of these actions and directing the superintendent to submit the appropriate fiscal data to the county administrator and requesting amendments to the Board of Supervisors’ adopted FY 2025 budget.

The board approved Memo #097-24, approving the revenue adjustments and appropriations changes outlined in schedule A; approving the reserve requirements/requests in schedule B; approving the reserve requests for FY 2024-budgeted activities continuing into FY 2025 as shown in schedule C; requesting that any remaining ending balance based on the final FY 2024 audit be reserved for future school needs in the general fund; and approving this resolution and authorizing the superintendent to make other appropriation adjustments to the school operating fund as may be necessary to implement the actions contained in this year-end budget review.

The board approved Memo #098-24, suspending its rules as set forth in policy 1200 (policy adoption, revision and suspension) and waiving a second reading of the policies contained in the memo and adopting those policies so that each is effective immediately with the exception of policy 5255 (paid parental leave), which is effective July 1, 2024.
