Recognizing departing advisory committee members

Board actions
The consent agenda was approved as presented. Memos of interest included:
Memo #104-24: Review and Approval of FY 2025 Tuition Rates for Nonresident Students
Memo #105-24: Approval of Addition to Student Fee Schedule for 2024-25 School Year
Memo #106-24: Appointment of Members to School Board Advisory Committees
The board approved an amended memo #112-24, suspending its rules and waiving second reading so that policies on concussions, sick leave, bereavement leave and paid parental leave are effective immediately.
The board approved memo #113-24, authorizing the procurement director to award a construction contract to Oyster Point Construction Co. for the replacement Bensley Elementary building and site construction project for $43,451,250 and approve any necessary change orders up to the full budgeted amount for this project.
Board discussion
The board approved memo #114-24, designating Dr. John Murray (currently serving as the superintendent’s acting designee) as interim superintendent effective Sept. 1.
