Our new Spot On series highlights the exceptional individuals and dedicated members of the community by showcasing their unique contributions, passion for their work and impact on students.
Debra Jackson joined CCPS in August 2023, and quickly became a beloved member of the #oneCCPS community. She finds peace in preparing meals, joy in student interactions and strength in teamwork.
“I believe it is important to carry a positive attitude,” Debra says. “Our kids today are facing so many things, and if I can help them along the way, I feel that I’ve left an impact.”
Debra embraces her responsibility to nourish, support and inspire elementary students each day. “Elementary school is where it all starts,” she says. “I believe if a child starts off loving the environment of school when they are young, they will generally tend to continue to love school even up to graduation and beyond. I hope I am able to impact and be a guide to help make that possible for them.”
