Spanish students and teachers from across Chesterfield County Public Schools gathered Feb. 15 for La Feria, an annual celebration of Hispanic culture. Teachers and administrators worked for months to make La Feria, which means The Fair, a big success for participating students. Here are just a few of the elements included in this year’s event:
cooking and eating salsa, pupusas, tortillas, ceviche and more
crafting intricate designs with tissue paper and painting paper amates
enjoying Latin Ballet of Virginia performance and workshops
exploring the running of the bulls, Carnival and Dia de los Muertos
filming commercials and designing logos
