Katherine Baugher

Katherine Baugher taught at Midlothian High School for 48 years and is arguably one of the most successful performing arts teachers in the history of Chesterfield County Public Schools. She not only directed 100+ financially successful and critically acclaimed plays but also positively influenced thousands of lives. Across her career, she staged everything from “The Pirates of Penzance” to “Our Town,” from “The Odyssey” to “A Streetcar Named Desire,” from “Camelot” to “Spamalot” and on and on. Katherine always made sure that every person she encountered felt important and loved. She excelled at welcoming all comers to the theater program, creating a community that kept students motivated and connected. Her legacy continues in the thriving program she built and in the young people she influenced.
