Brad Peebles

Brad Peebles filled multiple roles across 28 years with Chesterfield County Public Schools: biology teacher, assistant principal, coordinator of student conduct and principal. His decade leading the Juvenile Detention Center changed the trajectory of students’ lives and created a model for other districts. The two threads woven throughout Brad’s career and his 30+ years as a Boy Scouts of America scoutmaster were his belief that every student can and should learn and his passion for nature and the environment. The perfect illustration of that was the greenhouse program he created to connect Juvenile Detention Center students with nature and with future possibilities. Brad died in 2018, leaving this world in a better state than when he had arrived 65 years earlier.

The 2025 inductees this year include: Katherine Baugher, Bessie Cooper, Kathy Kitchen, Catherine “Kitty” Neale, Brad Peebles and Linda Wood. Learn more about all our honorees on our Hall of Fame page.
